Conclusions

The racing press would have you believe that their is a large bias towards low drawn numbers at Great Leighs, so much so that their are a large number of wide drawn runners which get mysterious late injuries and are withdrawn! However the stats don't back that up, although their is a slight bias towards low it is only slight. My believe is that although the turn at Great Leighs comes early, there is quite a long straight which allows the wide drawn runners time to recover.
