DOWN ROYAL RACECOURSE
Down Royal is a thoroughly modern racecourse with a rich history. Situated close to Belfast and just off the A1, the main Belfast/Dublin road, the racecourse races throughout the year and hosts both National Hunt and Flat racing. The three-day Ulster Derby meeting is the focus of the summer season at Down Royal where high-class Flat racing is the name of the game.
Down Royal is a right-handed, undulating, square-shaped track with a circuit of one mile and seven furlongs. Their is a straight 5 furlongs which comes from a chute.
Not a lot of data to go on but low numbers do appear to be favoured over 5 furlongs at Down Royal.
A pretty even spread suggests no draw bias over 7 furlongs.
The charts above indicate the percentage of races which were won from each stall number in handicaps.
