LINGFIELD RACECOURSE
Lingfield racecourse was opened in 1890 initially for Jump racing, although it is now a dual purpose racecourse and probably best known for its All Weather racing on the flat. Their has been a lot of re-development carried out over the last few years at Lingfield, and its a nice if unspectacular racecourse.
Key Characteristics
Lingfield is a left handed triangular course of about a mile and a half. It has nine relatively easy fences on each circuit. It is quite a sharp track and definitely suits front runners. Nowadays the bumper races tend to be run on the All Weather course.
