Ludlow racecourse was originally a flat racecourse, and part of the original course is used today for the National Hunt course. Ludlow is situated in Shropshire, and is a pretty basic but friendly country racecourse.
Key Characteristics
Ludlow have slightly different chase and hurdle courses. The chase course is a sharp oval course of about a mile and a half with nine fences per circuit, it is pretty flat. The hurdle course runs on the outside of the chase course and therefore has easier turns. The hurdle course is also considerably more undulating than the chase course.
