Conclusions

The seven furlong races at Epsom are run around a tight left hand bend and the horses drawn on the inside appear to hold a small advantage. Although interestingly horses drawn in the highest 2 stalls win a lot of races which could be that sometimes the stand side rail is the best place to be, so being drawn outside and able to tack across to there is an advantage. It is worth seeing what bias exists at a particular meeting to see if that stand side bias is present.
